The Woodleaf Tomato Festival will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on the grounds of Unity Presbyterian Church, Woodleaf, NC. The event, in its 16th year, is a fundraiser for church and community events. All things tomatoes are celebrated in the community that has been a center of tomato crops in the state for more than 125 years. Tomato sandwiches, tomato-eating and best-tasting tomato contests, and tomato shirts and costumes are featured, along with a 10 a.m. parade, live music all day, vendors with crafts and other items, a silent auction, baked goods, and food provided by the West Rowan FFA and other vendors.
